Cosmic #14 – Joan Marc Simon
February 14, 2019
Timing, Vision & the Art of Doing Things Differently
Zero Waste starts with good design, obviously. So we sat in the hallway of a design college and started talking.
There is a lot to learn from Joan Marc’s journey in economics, lobbying, advocacy and activism. Catching him on his last day of vacation was a great way to take perspective on his career so far and on what’s next. His organisation Zero Waste Europe has achieved a lot and made a meaningful contribution to how cities will manage their material streams from now on.
We talk about how to develop your sense of timing, your vision and “falling in the trap of change making”. We explore the notion of sacrifice, forming habits and other topics which I am sure will feel familiar to most of you.
For Joan Marc, trying to do things differently is key. I hope this will inspire you in shaping next steps in your project.
Dance, do more, be cosmic.
